Scripts

To make the script bigger simply click the image and ctrl and + (press together) to adjust it to the size you can read it :)

The script fits well into the trailer, and dialogue is spoken during the scenes, this may include some voiceovers in certain parts of the trailer. The dialogue helps contribute to the understanding of trailer as it shows what the other characters are thinking in each others bodies. A lot of the trailer is made of narrators voice and dialogue which is also done in other trailers, which tell the story.

Photoshoot plans

The various photoshoot plans includes locations for my photoshoot for the magazine and poster but also for some of the various locations the trailer will be shot in.

Film trailer photoshoot plans

This is the mirror scene I have to take the 180 degree rule into consideration, therefore all the camera places are looking towards the character as I cant film in front of them due to the wall being there. There will no natural lighting as we are indoors but we will have to use the lighting already in the bathroom to recieve the best visibility. High key lighting will be used to display that the scene is significant to show the audience that there is something wrong with the character and the light could possibly help the audience focus on the characters action and that danger is ahead.

This shot will be outside so can make use of the natural lighting during the day. Yet again I will have to use the 180 degree rule, to keep the characters on the right side throughout the conversation between them to make it more realistic. Natural lighting is a good lighting technique because it keeps all the colours in perfect proportion without using editing, but also it is very powerful brightens up the image however when theres sun you can expect shadows, which could damage the quality as in the shot you may see me filming.

There are many subjects in this shot as its a class room scene which features all actors laughing at the main characters clothing. There are various places for the camera to be but one problem could be the middle camera facing the back of the students heads.
In terms of lighting there is plenty of natural light coming into the room without the use of editing and artificial lighting. But on a day with bad weather there is use of artificial lighting to brighten up the image being filmed. This shot could be low key lighting to give a gloomy atmosphere and gets brighter when the character comes in to display how she looks different from the others in the class.

This will involve natural lighting as the shot will be taken outside to keep the colours in proportion but also the two subjects will be filmed at the river, so the natural lighting could bring out the colours of the grass, river etc to make a vibrant atmosphere. The characters will be walking down the path therefore the camera 180 degree rule comes into place involving keep the character in the right place throughout the shot with the use of the three camera opportunity zones.
Could possibly add a red tint in the editing process to give a warm atmosphere to show chemistry and love emerging.

Magazine images
The first image may be used for the main magazine image of the film Romeo Vs Juliet, this will be taken in the studio to make use of the whitescreen to bring the chracters and colours to the foreground. But also makes the image more high quality and professional, so in terms of lighting high key lighting should be used at either side of the subjects to keep shadowing equal and give the image a more vibrant look.
The use of three dimensional lighting gives the characters shape, solidity and depth and brings out the features of the characters faces etc to make them stand out from the rest of the magazine. The camera will be varying in position but inparticular a tilt shot.

This picture is for one of the smaller images on the magazine which depicts the bond like character (red subject box) who will be captured from various angles this is shown through the camera being adjustable. The lighting source will be natural as the image will be taken in a derelict area or photoshopped onto one to create the bond theme. The yellow box is to display he will be holding a prop, the prop being a gun to depict the danger and action in the film.

This will also be a small image
on the magazine featuring Jade Brown who will be taking on the modelling role of a dancer in a new movie she will be faced to the side having one arm touching her hat which will be on her head. This will be taken in the studio to provide the spotlight theme but also to help make the image clearer with the use of high key lighting which will keep the colour's in proportion but also have a spotlight. The camera will be adjustable to be able to find the perfect angle.

Yet again this will be another smaller image of the 'actress' played by
Sophie which will be in the studio to create a glossy professional sophisticated look. With the camera being adjustable I'm going to aim for a medium close up so we can see the 'actress' face clearly with her make up and hair done like a movie star. The high key lighting will provide a spotlight feel to the image.

Movie Poster

This is will be taken in the studio to make use of creating a high quality image to grab the audiences attention. The high key lighting will bring the characters to the foreground and enhance there features making it more vibrant. The camera will be adjustable to be able create various shots in different angles to find the perfect image.

Flat plans

Poster

I stuck to three main base colours for the text blue, pink and grey this is because it shows the boy and girl theme with grey being a neutral colour in between. I have only done three colours because it makes the poster simple and the colour isnt overpowering the image. Then the characters clothing will be bright to exaggerate like one of the focus group members suggested to make it more comedy styled. The image will be simple like the members wanted with shocked faces and uncomfortable poses. But I also decided to swap the heads on the characters to put them on the wrong body so the audience can automatically see what the film is about but also gives a humorous style. This will make the poster look extremely different from other posters for example the freaky friday poster simply has the two characters in eachothers clothes so to make mine have a unique edge and making use of the technology in college to make the poster image look very complex. The poster will be a longshot so the audience can see all of the characters body, but also there eyeline will be in the middle third to suggest they are both equal to eachother but are also at correct eyeline to the audience looking at the poster suggesting it is a promotional tool that there 'looking and expecting you' to like the film. I did ask my focus group if they wanted to see a different style to the poster so I feel I have done this to there expectations, but the poster will be very eye catching to them and funny. But also one of the focus group members wanted the image to do all 'the talking' so the use of swapping heads instantly gives clues to the audience.
The text is bold and stands out from the white background and mainly in capital letters to emphasise its importance. But on the title its slightly different with Romeo being in pink to display hints of a change and him being more feminine but its also in fancy writing to make it more girly. However vice versa Juliet is in blue to give her a more masculine feeling but also its in like oldschool american sport type. This colour idea is shown on the its a boy girl thing poster which gives the audience knowledge of what to expect.
I have also included critics comment '4 star body swapping madness' to attract the audience as they may prefer to hear someone elses opinion of the film. But also rating shows the success of the film visually with the use of stars. I have also used the name of the main characters to attract attention as they will be known by the audience who will watch it. This was requested from the focus group to give the film a rating which would help the audience decide whether to see it.
However for layout it is very simple to make it easy to follow and read but also the use of the taglines 'its official she is the man' and 'he's attempted walking in her heels' to create some humour and to inform the audience it is a comedy. This question was included in the questionnaire to see if the audience thought a tagline would be essential and the overall outcome was that they agreed.
I have also included the certificate to meet the target market age but also the date its released, to just provide somemore information as this is always included on a movie poster, as the poster is an information element as well as for promotion.

Film magazine

Magazines use a three colour palette rule therefore I used the colour scheme dark pink, black and silver because my magazine is a general film magazine, so I wanted to make the colour scheme sophisticated and professional. This is a typical media magazine convention as most magazines stick to a three colour palette rule to give it a professional and distinctive look making it recognisable from other magazines. So for my magazine to look professional I will have to have a set colour scheme. But also due to there being more females who took part in my questionnaire and focus group I added the pink as part of the palette to create a more feminine look.
There are various images on the page as I wanted to keep a text and image balance, however for my main image it will be of my actors Bryony Killey-Scaife and Aaron Horsfield because magazines always use there main story to promote the magazine to engage interest from the audience, I haven't decided on the shot type yet but I will most likely make the image more of a medium shot once I tried various shots to make the perfect image so we can see the characters facial expression. Although at the bottom of the magazine I have used the idea of the old fashioned movie film tape to make the magazine authentic and instantly indicate to the audience the style of the magazine and makes the magazine look sophisticated to match the colour and then placed images of other stars from upcoming films of 2011 featured in the magazine.
The first image will be of a horror film where we see a closeup of half of someones face, the second image will be a longshot of a group of groups from different social groups featuring the title misfits. The third image is of my sister being a movie star which will also be a longshot featuring a red carpet background. But also in the questionnaire I put forward the question 'what part of the magazine appeals the most?' and one of the ideas was images so I tried to get a lot of imagery in there to make it interesting to look at.
In terms of text the title will spread right across the page 'REELTIME' I have put this in pink to make it stand out from the image and picture so the audience will remember the name. I have used play on words too, since Real has been replaced as REEL like a film reel and then time was added as films and magazines take up your time and create entertainment. I made this choice because the use of play on words makes it catchy and more memorable to the audience. I have also included sell lines to keep a text/image balance but also to promote more of what is in the magazine to make it look jampacked and worth buying. For the main headline I have put the title of the film bigger and in pink so the audience will automatically see it and then read the rest of the writing which explains what the title is. All magazines have sell lines and a main headline to place information for the reader to know what is included in the magazine but also to compliment the images on the front page, to indicate what is going on in the image.
The layout is simple but interesting with plenty of images to see and text to read, it is easy to read without anything being overlayered. I have also included special offers such as a competition to go to a premiere and free posters which also is to help grab interest as it was recommended by people in the survery and focus group. This is another convention typically used to to grab the audiences eye to read the magazine but also gives them an incentive to win a prize for buying the magazine, so the magazines could provide it for promotion but also as a reward. I have included simple things such as the date and price to just make the magazine look more professional and inform the reader. These are typical conventions magazine companies provide so the reader is well informed of when the next issue is but to see if the magazine is in there price range. I made my magazine £2 as my main target group is 13 to 18 year olds in the socio-economic class C1 and C2 which can be seen on my target audience profile on my secondary research, so the price is affordable for the teenage group in a middle class society since at this age they will only be getting pocket money and if there lucky a job.

Storyboard

This is the story board for my trailer production RomeoVsJuliet which is the selling point for the film.

Institutional logos

This is a video I created of my logos,I added sound effects to make the video come to life but also put my images in a television screen so the audience can see what they would look like on a screen but also to make the piece more creative.

This is what the logos looked like without the use of the TV screen.

This is the reeltime productions logo and the main logo for the whole promotion package. The logo will also be featured on the model release forms. I will be using this as the third logo in the trailer right at the start, as according the research most logos are shown at the start then follows with the movie. But also including it in the trailer gives credit to the production team for helping with the project and gets them recognised by the public. The use of a film reel instantly clicks with the audience that the next promotion is for a new film. But the play on words reeltime, instantly connects the picture with the name 'REEL' but also could relate to the world 'real' that they try to make there films as realistic and believable as possible. The use of 'time' displays the film takes a lot of time and effort to create a film but could also suggest they like using time to make the next new blockbuster movie of the year.

This is the main title I will be using, which will be situated at the very end so it is memorable to the audience. This logo will definitely be in the trailer otherwise the audience wont know what the film is. I have done the word 'Romeo' in pink and 'Juliet' in blue to display the swap as the colours are stereotypical matched to a certain gender therefore I changed it to show that something isn't right. But also the use of VS gives an indication that the pair don't get along and that theres going to be some rivalry. But also as you can see the writing for Romeo is curly and girly which displays feminisity whereas Juliet's name has become more masculine.

Flick films logo is for the distribution company, I will be using this because the distribution company should be credited for getting the film released to cinemas etc. This will feature at the starting sequence so it is recognised by audiences to see who took part in making the film. Most film trailers I have watched they have placed the logos at the start so I will follow this to keep a good structure. I have named it flick films because I typed into a thesaurus 'film' and movies' and it came up with various words such as flick which triggered the name Flick films as its simple and relates to movies.

This is the 'Movie house pictures' logo which I created and will be used in the trailer at the starting sequence to yet again give credit to the companies taking part in making the film. Movie house is a co-production team with Reeltime to give an extra 'league of ideas' to make the film a blockbuster hit. The image of the directors chair gives a link to the movie theme. I made use of the words 'movie house' because these were more words what came up in the thesaurus.

This is the details logo which lets the audience know who took part in the filming, but also where they can find out more details. But also lets the audience know they cant buy it on dvd just yet and its going to be in cinemas soon. The logo will be at the end just before the final funny scene like a traditional comedy body swap trailer. The writing is in black, blue and pink to carry on the theme of boy vs girl body swap throughout the trailer.
